The Most Effective Instant Stress Relief Techniques

There are few instant stress relief techniques which can help you to feel better if you have noticed that stress is overwhelming you. If you carefully follow the instructions, you will see how your body and mind are reducing tension and anxiety.

Take a deep breath

There are a lot of people who do not realize how important proper breathing is. Breathing is one of the most important instant stress relief techniques. Only few people know that without thinking how we breath we can't deal with stress properly. When we are stressed, we take shallow breaths and they just increase the feeling of tension.

So as you already know, it is good to think about breathing. If you get stressed next time, take a minute for yourself and try to concentrate. Take few deep breaths. Remember to inhale through the nose for about four seconds, hold it for two seconds and exhale for six seconds.

While breathing, try to do it so deeply that you will be able to notice your abdomen rise and falls when you exhale. It is called yoga breathing technique. And you can use it to relax any time you want.

Whenever you feel anxiety or tension, take from five to ten of deep breaths. You will see how stress disappears.

Talk about it

If you have the opportunity to talk to somebody about how you feel- do it! When you are stressed and there's someone near you who you can tell what is worrying you, that might be a great stress relief technique for you. You can also write a diary or even an e-mail if you can't talk to any person. This technique is good for woman, who are more likely to have a will to talk about emotions and problems they are facing.

Go for a walk

Going for a walk or doing some other activity or exercise is another brilliant technique which helps in reducing stress. Walking is effective because it takes you away from the problems you are facing in your work place or in any other place. Moreover walking makes you feel more alert because the blood flowing increases your energy level. It also reduces stress because walking and relaxing makes muscle tension smaller. After this you will be able to cope with your problems more effective.

Other ideas helpful in reducing stress instantly

First of all don't be shy to express your emotions. If it happens to you to feel a need to cry, scream or even throw something you can try to do it as long as you know that you are not in a public place and that what you do will not bring attention of other people. If you are able to express these feelings you will feel how tension decreases.

If you have the opportunity to be in a calm place for a few minutes you can try out to visualize calm. It is a kind of meditation. Sit down, take few deep breaths and imagine "calm" or "peace" in your mind. Instead of this you can also think about favourite place which makes you happy. Afterwards you will feel calm and relaxed.

If you like nice smell you can try to use it to get rid of stress. Smell something sweet like aromatic oil which you like or which you know to be calming. You can try to use spicy apple or lavender for example. Install a source of good smell in your work place and at home. It will make you feel more happy.

Naturopathy. There are various therapeutic methods of Naturopathy which minimize the effects of stress such as anxiety, depression, hypertension and lethargy. Natural elements such as aromas of plants, herbs or flowers and colours are used in treating stress related disorders.

If you want to get rid of stress quickly and for good you have to notice what is the source of stress and how to deal with this source. When you have already found out what makes you feel stressed, you can use some instant stress relief techniques.

Here are instant stress relief tips which you can use when you are at work:

First of all, breath deep and often. It has been proven by scientists that breathing is able to relax your whole body. Take slow deeps. About 7 or 10. You can repeat this action few times until you notice that your heart rate decreases and your body stops sweating too much.
Another good idea when dealing with stress is to block stressful thoughts. Don't sit all day thinking about bad things that may happen. It doesn't help you. Instead of helping, it increases pressure on the mind. So don't be pessimistic. Forget about bad things which rarely ever happen.
Sleep more. Try to get healthy sleep each night. Nowadays people suffer from lack of sleep, no exercise and bad diet. All these factors are combined with being stressed at work or at home and as a result we can become depressed. So all you have to do is to stop thinking about problems when it is time to sleep and give your mind a chance to relax.
It is essential to know what makes you most stressed. It might be for example work presentation or important meeting which makes your heart rate increasing. Try to discover stressful spots and make a list of them. When you know what bothers you the most, you will be able to cope with stress faster and better. Think how you can prevent stressful situations or reduce them. For example if you don't like to speak in public, you can try to exercise in front of the mirror for few days before the speech.

Stress Relief Techniques for a Preschool Child - Part Two

In the first part of this two-part article, we discussed, from my viewpoint as career educator of more than 30 years, the fact that preschools and families are increasing stress on preschool children. To clarify, we worked through a brief definition of preschool stress, and looked at the underlying reason for preschool stress.

Finally, we considered the basic requirement of preschool stress relief. We pick up at that point.

Basic Requirement of Preschool Stress Relief

Stress relief techniques for a preschool child must be fashioned in accordance with the underlying reason for stress: the child's need for control.

Establish Boundaries

Preschool stress relief depends on the establishment of boundaries. We must establish physical boundaries to keep a child safe physically. We must also establish emotional, mental, and spiritual boundaries to give the child safety. As long as boundaries do not exist, or can be knocked down, children will experience stress in seeking them. Here are a few examples of preschool stress relief in action.

1. At reading time, the physical boundary is the reading circle, reading rug, or whatever part of the room you designate. The child is to be there and nowhere else. Doesn't this create preschool stress? No. It is strong preschool stress relief. When children know clearly that only one location is acceptable, control is established for them. They do not need to seek control by responding inappropriately. They can relax.

Preschool stress relief requires us to teach children these boundaries and help them understand that they will be happy and safe within them. They never have to test the boundary. We help relieve stress.

2. When an adult gives a command or makes a request, the mental and emotional boundary is immediate and full compliance. Adults set the boundary once, with no counting involved. The amount of time children wait to obey is the amount of time they are outside the boundary - an unhappy place to be.

If we want to provide preschool stress relief for children, we will be sure they understand that remaining outside that boundary is inappropriate. We do not ignore their disobedience. We make obedience important. We reward it, and remove the need for decision.

3. Stress relief techniques for a preschool child also establish control for the child when it comes to expectations that children will get along with one another. This expectation is not unrealistic or burdensome. Preschool stress relief in this area takes the form of instructing and showing that good things result from efforts to get along. If we separate children who are unwilling to cooperate with one another, we add to the stress, making it difficult for them to know what to do. Our voices tell them they must get along, but separation rewards their failure to do so.

Give Responsibility

Preschool stress relief gives children responsibility for their actions. It does not blame refusal to stay within boundaries on circumstances outside the child. Life will always contain circumstances beyond their control. Preschool stress relief helps them learn early that appropriate responses to stress are based on boundaries, and their responsibility to stay within the boundaries.

Stressful Crayons

A good object lesson in preschool stress relief is to give children a coloring page and crayons. Talk to them about how unhappy the crayons will be if they go outside the lines. Tell them the lines are there to make it easier for the crayons. If they had to color a parrot (or whatever the picture) without lines to guide them, it would be much harder. It would make the crayons feel anxious. They could not be sure if they were doing it right. The lines make the crayons happy and relaxed.

As the children color, explain that they are like crayons. They need lines. They need boundaries. As long as they stay inside life's lines, they will be much happier.

Conclusion

Preschool stress relief is not complicated. We should not make it so. Teachers and parents who focus on natural, common sense boundaries will achieve a high level of preschool stress relief without struggle.

Stress management - four Top relaxation techniques

Stress management means putting the job down and stop for a while. Stress management involves clearing your head and free of unhealthy, distractions of jumping back on track. Some stress relief programs highlight the value of relaxation. I.e. learn to savour the time alone and use it to restore the mind and body.

Some stress relief techniques to cope with stress include progressive relaxation, autogenic training, biofeedback, meditation. There are several other techniques, but for the purpose of this article, only the above-mentioned four be briefly addressed. There are several ways on how to deal with stress. Relaxation is a technique that generally refers to the calming of the mind, body, and the sense that one will help you to recover their "Centre", even in the midst of a highly stressful activity.

Before start with any of the four techniques, we must recognize that are simply part of a larger and more comprehensive stress management program and each work at its best measure when combined with other techniques. To take any relaxation stress management technique, two very important points should be considered.

Firstly, given that a technique of relaxation as a result physiological changes, nobody under medication that affects any physiological parameter could be exploiting this parameter too hard, and

Secondly, that persons with medical conditions such as hypertension, heart problems, etc. must first request medical, permission to be on the safe side.

Once you have obtained these out of the way, you might want to try each stress management technique first before you determine which one to use regularly. While there is no way to scientific and medical to decide exactly what will work best for you, may determine that it is a more comfortable fit.

Here are the four main stress management techniques:

Emphasize technical management 1: meditation

Meditation is a mental exercise aimed to gain control over your attention in choosing what should focus, rather than be subjected to the unpredictable rotation of environmental events. This is best done in a quiet place and involves breathing set methods.

Emphasize technical management 2: progressive relaxation

This technique stimulates nerve muscle relaxation. Requires the contraction and release of a muscle group, then slowly towards other parts of the body. Progressive relaxation is generally used to treat migraines, tension headaches and other diseases.

Stress 3 technical management: autogenic training

This technique uses a series of exercises aimed to bring the warmth of body and heaviness in the body and limbs. It can be done lying down or sitting down. Relaxing images are also used to feed the relaxation of the mind.

Emphasize technical management 4: feedback

Biofeedback and the test effort uses certain machines and instruments to observe body movements and incidents, that will be used to study ways of controlling them. Often used in combination with other relaxation technique.

Practice their chosen tension relief technique as recommended, with the right environment, attitude, time and frequency. Maintain a consistent routine harvested profits in no time. Always be taken into account up four stress management techniques are simply tools to a method of a greater and more complete. You can choose to make them individually or adopt a combination of two or four. However how decides, be sure to comfortable pace. Otherwise, you will create more stress than to get rid of.
